Hmmm, I wonder if there is a GOP quid pro quo there (it would be irresponsible not to speculate).

Robert Bork was promised a Supreme Court nomination by the GOP when he fired Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox in the Saturday Night Massacre. When that seat became available under President Reagan, Bork was nominated (though he was defeated in Senate hearings).

Now comes Neil “frozen trucker” Gorsuch, son of the woman President Reagan selected for the EPA. “Don’t release those records, and we’ll promise your son will be rewarded with a Supreme Court nomination.”

Problem is, Neil was only sixteen when his mom split from the EPA.
