It’s a tariff of 10%.

Another way of saying that is, it’s a 10% tax on imports.
Still another way of saying that is it’s a 10% tax on imports that Americans are paying.
Still another way of saying that is it’s a 10% tax that more than wipes out the supposed benefits of the TCJA that a majority of Americans supposedly received.

So, while the billionaire class can have their money baths with the taxes they saved courtesy of the TCJA, everyone else is going to watch as they pay far more on imported goods from China (because they don’t have alternatives they can buy domestically).

You’d think at some point those same billionaires would realize that raising costs to consumers (who also happen to be their employees) is going to eventually hurt their bottom lines when consumers can’t buy their goods/services and their sales drop, meaning their stock values drop, meaning they lose money.
