If you are curious where the current fighting is, and what the Russians are trying to do in the Ukraine, look at the June 2022 entry on this map. Then imagine if there was an even smaller set of arrows to the right/East of that one. It would include towns like Rubizhne, Lysychansk (Severodonetsk is just to the East), etc. And the Sversky Donets River runs right through the middle of this.

(There may still be some fighting going on in Lyman and Popasna where the pincers labeled June 2022 are located.)
