You’ll have to explain to me what you mean by “now paid to write for an audience that hates him and the feeling is probably reciprocal”.

Hot Air readers are garden variety wingnuts/Fox News viewers. They hate that AP’s an atheist and they get really pissed off every time his opinion doesn’t match the Fox News/Glenn Beck mantra. Hot Air readers have launched several campaigns to have him fired in the past. A lot of times I think AP just writes stuff to appease the wingnuts, The readers don’t seem to notice but I think he’s just mocking them sometimes.
I just checked over at Hot Air. The “headlines” section at the top used to link to interesting news articles and thoughtful (at least in their opinion) blog posts. I don’t see a small blogs listed anymore. Just MSM articles and powerhouse wingnut outlets.
