Rand’s not a real libertarian. However, the biggest problem with the ideology is the lack of desire of Libertarians to actually look at how a real society operates and functions. It’s related to how von Mises/Austrian school economic subscribers ignore real life data at the expense of the theory. In that way, they are a lot like diehard Marxists.

Even American Conservative agrees with that assessment.
