The now-abandoned federal highways that Ike replaced with the superslabs are great for acoustic cycling. Except the rest stops now consist of walking into the nearest corn field, and don’t forget the paper. It is no longer supplied.

What are these “superslabs” of which you speak? /s

Our two undivided US highways in this county are the most important roads. (On a side note, the last unpaved US highway was in this state.)

Omaha has turned some downtown streets to gravel … US-6 is on the list to be turned to gravel.
