A few years back, I got a really bad case - courtesy of helping folks clear out weeds and came across poison oak (I am familiar with poison ivy, but not the oak variety). Same outcome. Massive rashes on my legs and arms. I went thru the topical ointments w/refills in 2-3 days. Doc then gave me oral steroids and it helped resolve in about 10 days.
