Hey ping! I understand how you feel and agree that Obama didn’t plan this mission, but he did AUTHORIZE the use of military force to try to save an American who’s life was in imminent danger. And given that, before the good Captain was freed many of us, including myself, wondered whether or not Obama had the brass to live up to his obligations as POTUS and CiC to defend Americans from danger, foreign and domestic, I am glad that he did apparently step up to the plate and told the Navy to save Captain Phillips.
For that I am THANKFUL - doesn’t mean I agree with Obama’s domestic policies, or the way he handled the North Korean Missile launch or anything else. But he got this one right. And for that I DO thank him.
