I’ve said before that Sanders made a very calculated and cynical decision when they allowed Cornel West and Killer Mike to be official campaign surrogates. That decision was to create a thin patina of black support aimed at quelling the nervousness within Bernie’s overwhelmingly younger liberal white movement instead of trying to generate a real minority outreach effort.

That decision is now blowing up in his face.
