They’re there but sometimes not close by.
If you have a lot of time between flights out want to go early, they’re fabulous, especially those overseas. I was in one, I don’t recall which European country I was in, and it was fabulous. Truly so. Great food, liquor, free internet (which was rare then).
Definitely take advantage of you can.
We’re going to Europe next year in business class and are looking forward to taking advantage of those facilities at Heathrow (assuming British Air exists then).
I found a great price for Business Class on Malaysia Airlines from Tokyo to Kuala Lumpur for the week of Thanksgiving for $943 one way. Since it’s an overnight flight, I figured I may as well spend a few hundred more for a quality flight with some decent sleep. The only problem is that it arrives in KL a little after 5am. And I don’t want my friend in KL/Penang to get up too early to pick me up when I could take advantage of the Airport Lounge at KL upon arrival and freshen up with a shower and breakfast at least. Since I am an AAdvantage credit card user, I would certainly hope that I would be able to take advantage of the generous benefits on top of the additional mileage from booking Business Class.
That’s my dilemma. I haven’t flown Business Class since I was 15 with family on AA from DFW to Frankfurt, and that was way back in 2000. And that was a lucky upgrade for us too!
