I swear it’s like they live in an alternate reality.

While Freepers are beyond hope and help, I was really interested to note that many commenters at The Resurgent (Erickson’s site) were pretty clear eyed about who was carrying out these mass shootings and that Trump’s rhetoric played a significant role. Not all of course, but a significant number. Now, they’re not a pro-Trump group by and large, but they do buy into a lot of the current conservative policies.
