Trump is a media figure. For starters, that guaranteed him publicity without having to spend very much on a campaign, secondly, it guarantees that media outlets want to keep him in the spotlight, as he draws viewership.

It used to be a case of converging interests, but we have have seen that turn into just the opposite.

It doesn’t change what I’m saying that they had a responsibility to scrutinize him and his candidacy. That’s all I am saying. I know why they did what they did and it’s part of why we have this dumpster fire in the WH.
