Meanwhile, in the real world, Pizza Hut was a company in decline even before the pandemic, but was especially hit hard because they put more focus on their restaurants compared to competitors like Dominos that only offer delivery or take-out. I’m sure you can find any number of former PH restaurants that are now abandoned due to COVID.

I used to work for them in days of yore (the 90s) and even then PH was moving away from having the “Red Roof” restaurants to focus on delivery and carry-out orders. They weren’t mass closing them, but they didn’t open any more. COVID has little or nothing to do with it.
