The bus driver was driving the bus. The bus driver’s job is to drive the bus, and kids whoop and holler in there all the time. It’s one reason I drive my kids to school every day…lots of stuff happens on buses that would be stopped in school.

Now, black on white hate crimes and rhetoric seems to be an escalating problem in our society, and I think President Obama is in an excellent position to address it. I hope he chooses to do so some time while he’s in office. Let’s say I’m not terribly optimistic, but I’m not an optimistic person in general.
