Again, Romney is disparaging his own supporters, seniors and people who take advantage of the per child tax credit, mortgage interest payment credit, people predominately living off of investment income and who take deductions for capital losses.

What’s really fucked up though is that here’s a guy who’s running to be able to submit and sign off on changes to the tax code who refuses to release his own tax returns. He’s calling almost half the country victims because they’re taking advantage of the same elements in the tax code he’s taken advantage of, to offset their tax obligations entirely.

I pay all the taxes that are legally required and not a dollar more. I don’t think you want someone as the candidate for president who pays more taxes than he owes.

How hypocritical is this? He’s saying nearly half the tax filers in the country view themselves as “victims” because they have the same operative strategy towards paying taxes that he does.
