Again, I think oyu’re missing my point is that the GOP has had these problems for years. Yes, they liked to talk a good game about fiscal conservatism- remember who ran up the debt in the 2000’s, family values- how many of the Clinton era impeachment moralists have been exposed as adulterers or worse in Hastert’s case, etc. Yes, superficially, minority groups may have been drawn to an aspect of what the GOP talked about but what I am trying to tell you is that it’s been all talk for a long time.
