Richard John Neuhaus spent quantity time on both sides of the right/left divide during his career. As a young Lutheran clergyman in the 60s he was active in the civil rights and anti-war movement. After becoming disillusioned with the Left in the 70s, he tacked Right and later became a Catholic priest. I didn’t give any indication, so there’s no way you could have known, but hope this helps.

thanks. His post-70s bias shows in that quote. Maybe it was a different time when he made it, but there’s no question the right wing is leading the cult of beyondism in 2010.
