TBH I can’t tell you who Trump reminds me of. Like yeah it’s easy to say something like Hitler but Hitler actually fought his own street battles. Trump talks tough but he’s a coward when it comes down to it.
The closest historical parallel I can think of for Trump is Crassus, who along with Julius Caesar and Pompey was one of the main players at the end of the Roman Republic.
Too cowardly to fight his own battles or wars, he just hired mercenaries with his great wealth. One of his wealth building tactics was to have his thugs start fires which his fire department would charge to put out.
His gift to the english language was the word ‘crass’. May Trump have a similar legacy.
