I’m guessing you’re not identifiably Jewish (or Muslim, or Sikh, etc.)

I was born & raised in Texas and spent my first 8 years as a Muslim there. There was rarely a week that went by without someone staring, pointing, sneering, or saying something nasty to me simply because I dared to exist in their midst and be different.
