OT: Postman just brought my 1 kilo jar of Pakistani mango pickles. I don’t otherwise like mangoes, but these things nom, nom, nom… They’re chopped up and preserved in curry, spices, and oil. They’re spicy, but not hot and the flesh of the mangoes is very soft & kind of tangy-sour—a nice complement to the oil and strong curry flavor. The work great as a side dish or condiment.

They’re not gonna win any beauty pageants, but that’s okay as long as they taste good (excuse the somewhat blurry pic):
