Not anything new, Eric Bolling made exactly this same argument earlier today. Since Trump has already heavily endorsed this bill, they can’t claim that it’s being passed over his objections. So they have to fabricate an escape hatch for him by saying that Ryan “fooled” him into signing onto a bill that is a total violation of all the promises he made.
