Genealogists who have looked into it haven’t found a smoking gun, they found one document that shows her great-great-great-great grandmother may have been Cherokee making her 1/64th Cherokee, but even that is tenuous, so why get the DNA test and potentially give her opponents something else with which to attack her.

She claims her own mother was native American and faced bigotry. No one would know about the test unless she released the results.
