On a lighter note (?) I got a shiny new ice cream maker for my birthday last week. So froze the base, ran out for heavy creme, milk, eggs, and real vanilla beans. Yikes those vanilla / Orchid seeds are costly. Of course we have a few things that could be added. But what makes the difference between okay and really good vanilla?
