Only if you privatise the profits and nationalise the losses.

Oil and gas are insanely expensive energy because, given the laws of thermodynamics it’s going to take more energy to get the CO2 out of the atmosphere than we got from burning the oil and gas that made that CO2.

We cannot afford to burn the oil and gas we have. It is effectively worthless and at some point “the markets” are going to have to realise that.
