Here’s the aggravating as fuck bit to what is essentially the kicking of the can down the road: The “liberal media” will not convey the enormity of what has happened here, but will instead adopt this “game” narrative to downplay just how serious the GQP are about blowing up the economy to harm Biden and come back in December to tell folks that there’s no need to worry because a deal will always be worked out at the 11th hour and all the talk about allowing the country to plunge over a cliff is “just politics.”

Here’s the simple truth about US politics — the GOP hasn’t had public policy ideas worth considering for decades, and so all it runs on is resentment, spite, malice, and willful stupidity for the singular cause of more tax cuts for the rich.

The GOP is completely worthless. That is the essential element that is missing from damn near all mainstream US political reporting.

In the MSM fairy tale, it is always and everywhere Democrats that are presumed to be worthless, while Republicans are presented as moderate center-right keepers of the status quo in the face of unreasonable demands for change.
