On the discussion last thread about the Texas father who reportedly shot and killed his daughter while hunting.

In both the Virginia and Pennsylvania Hunter Safety courses, discussions on completely verifying your target before aiming and firing are emphasized. The topic in both states, when I took the courses, included discussing one of the incidents where a father shot his child while hunting.

Personally, the thought of a parent killing their child truly horrifies me.

Interestingly, the Va State course of about 15 years ago included a section hunter visibility. It demonstrated how the officially required bright-orange clothing was still not that eye-catchingly visible in woods.

They need to be prosecuted and lose their 2a rights. They are demonstrably irresponsible.

“He’s suffered enough” is not effective or enough.
