When I was in SF/Santa Cruz in Summer 2012, I needed a hoodie or jeans at night. But yeah the temperatures are I understand warmer than usual.

SF and Santa Cruz, although nice, are not good representatives of the weather in the overall Bay Area. They are definitely cooler microclimates in the bigger picture.

I, on the other hand, live in one of the hotter microclimates. And it sucks.
