Said it last night but I’m going to go to my grave wondering how so many people thought this guy was a viable political leader. It really makes me weep. I don’t want Trump supporters to look at me as a white guy and think I’m one of them and I don’t want the groups that Trump has made life hell for and see me as an adversary either.

People were fed up with politicians and politics as usual. Trump campaigned as the anti-politician who promised politics as anything but usual. It allowed him to get away with doing and saying things that would have wrecked the campaign or even the career of any professional politician.
