Does anyone on this thread have any resources for dealing with an amputation? My father is diabetic and has an infected leg. The doctor told us today that they will probably take it below the knee on Tuesday and he is really have a hard time dealing with that. He is used to being independent and has been taking care of my mother for the past 5 years. She has Rheumatoid Arthritis. He realizes that he is going to lose his independence and that has hit him hard.
