Packing up and moving someplace else is a wonderful experience! It’s mind expanding, liberating. A little scary, but something that has to be done.

My grandparents did it. Two left Lithuania, one left Belarus, and one left Gaza in 1929 when he was kicked out.

I’m glad I did it, in 1987, when I left New York City with just a few dollars to my name and drove to “Silicon Valley” where I thought there was more opportunity. I got a job with a little company called “Adobe.” (I left there in 1998).

I’m looking forward to doing it once more, maybe at age 65. But this time, I think I’ll try another country.

My ancestors all came here from Europe, and now I have two siblings living in Germany, and one in Colombia.
