This election has to be worth a chapter or two in some psychological volume. The newcomers to national politics, the Trumps and Sanders, all became big-headed blowhards entirely too impressed with theirownselves (OK the Trumps started out that way but bear with me). They’ve been all about rah rah rallies, applause and See How Everybody Loves Me and shit. They are all form, no function.

And then there’s Hillary. Working for The Job. Actually wanting that job and doing what it takes to get that job. She has prepared for it for a lifetime. Her choice of Kaine as her running mate - a worker, a doer who puts action behind words, just like her - further makes the statement that it’s the job that motivates, not the title and applause.
