If you can and if your insurance covers it, get them taken out!
It’s a much more painful operation when you’re an adult, but it’s still a one day in and out sort of thing, and I swear it did more than anything to cut down on bronchitis and asthma for me. I used to have bronchitis at least once a year, and asthma year round.
Now, I haven’t had bronchitis in like ten years, (but i’ll get a respiritory infection that doesnt evolve into that like every 5 years, if I’m not careful) and I still have asthma but I don’t need daily med for it— or even every year.
Talk to other people with it on med boards or something, and also as many docs as possible— this is what worked for me but they probably have better treatments now, and I think avoiding surgery is always a good idea whenever possible.
