I don’t believe in rewarding the Special Super Mommy thing with attention. You want to do some parenting thing that’s weird and off the beaten track? If it doesn’t harm the child, and no, breastfeeding until five doesn’t harm the child, and chewing his food for him doesn’t, and not diapering doesn’t, much as they may annoy various persons around you, have at it. Just don’t expect me to be excited for you.

Well. Zedushka told me that he remembers his mother chewing meat before feeding it to his baby brother. He doesn’t remember receiving such meat himself, he would have been too young. But I guess that it used to be a way of feeding “grown up” food (like steak) to toddlers.
