My relatives confound me sometimes.

My mother in law just got out of the hospital after a 5 day stay (including over Christmas) for COPD/Breathing complications and she is STILL SMOKING!

My heart breaks, I wish I could make her and my wife stop.
They’ve both tried in the past but never kicked it for good.

I’ve never smoked cigarettes.

I had some pulmonary testing recently, courtesy of the VA. After the tests, the *first* thing the doctor said to me was “How long have you been a three-pack-a-day smoker?”

I listened, and I understood. It’s now been five weeks since I’ve taken even a puff.

If this keeps up, I may have to change my screen name.
