This is the first time it’s ever happened. He was also seriously trying to develop a sinus infection right before leaving, though, had a prescription decongestant but may have forgotten to take another dose while on the plane. :/
Decongestants can be a two edged sword. If you start with clear sinuses and then they clog at altitude, the feeling can be not unlike an icepick into your skull.
I know a lot of people like the 12 hour nasal inhalers, they have the benefit of not wearing off in 4 hours and you getting hit with a decongestant bounce where now you’re worse off than if you had done nothing.
So glad that Mr Klys is doing better, and yes, your cell / text bill will probably be bigger than the hospital care bill.
