Interesting. No offense to engineers of any sort*, but it has been my observation over the years that minor party candidates who list their profession as “retired engineer” (and we get a fair number around here) are not anyone I’d want running the government.

*Some of my best friends… etc., but they tend not to be running for office because they are not among those who just know they can find easy fixes to complicated problems.

There’s a common adage about a large number of engineers being creationists.
