Even in my most optimistic moments, I realize that things are going to get a lot worse before they even start to get better.

And I still quietly fear that a lot of the damage that will be done is going to be permanent or take generations to fix.

That’s no reason to give up the fight. I have my congresscritters on speed-dial now, I’ve begun to draft a letter to those folks about the disastrous repercussions of repealing the ACA, I plan on being more active with my local Democratic Party apparatchiks. I’m hoping the congress will flip in two years, but that will take work. Not this giving in to the forces of evil that I’ve been seeing around here.
