It is the one childhood disease I didn’t get, and when I started teaching, I loaded up on all the vaccines I could get at that time. No mumps, thank God! Caught every cold / flu / cough / sniffle for two years before I finally built up some immunity. My husband wasn’t so lucky when he was a child, and the mumps ended parts of his life before they got started. Anti-vaxxers … I don’t know what is bad enough for them.
