This is a photo by Pittsburgh Courier photographer “Teenie” Williams, circa 1949. The Courier was the nationally-important Pittsburgh AA paper. We got to see a show of his PGH jazz legends at the Carnegie Museum of Art this month. Might do a page on him.

Gotta ask. What kind of doll is the little girl holding? Let’s say my interest is piqued!
