It is interesting how little the line has broken in terms of republican fronterunners. I think a lot of Republicans were hoping for their own Obama messiah candidate to come out of the woodwork but it never happened. Apparently everyone is late this year to formally announce they are running. Perhaps everyone is afraid of being the first target?

I used to have Palin as the most likely candidate, based on a lot of secondary measures. The problem is she’s still a quitter. She’s had several speaking engagements she’s dropped because there were going to be press members who would ask mean questions. She might announce, but when she starts facing the relentless pressure of the press I think she’ll quit again.

Now, I just don’t know. I can tell you some who will not — Romney and Huntsman, for example. But whoever it is must be not just popular with but “one of” the crazies. No “RINOs”, and RINO is anyone who doesn’t dance the tea party tango.
