I wonder if we’ll ever see guys like Limbaugh and Neil Boortz and all the rest fall off the earth, they have decades of radio career left in them, and they have a lot of power over opinion.

How do you get rid of those guys? You can’t. Radio is dying as a relevant medium, but it’s still powerful enough to shape opinion for those who listen, which are increasingly becoming a monolitically conservative demo. Portland’s big rock station KUFO is dead, replaced with more conservative talk, just now on FM. All the good radio in Portland is now internet only, and the ratings on cascadia.fm (our flagship NW internet radio station) are beating almost all the local terrestrial radio station ratings. The airwaves are being abandoned to this garbage hate talk.

Limbaugh and Boortz will go extinct.

They will be replaced of course, but by lesser and lesser influential individuals.

The only thing you can be certain of is change.
