Immelt and Ailes are not equivalent. Immelt is the CEO of a company that owns a network. Ailes is the president of a “news’ organization. Huge difference.
While it may be legal for Ailes to play and advisory role, I have my doubts about the executive privilege claim, although I’m not familiar with the New Jersey statute.
The new joint venture, dubbed NBCUniversal, LLC, is 51% owned by Comcast (CMCSA, Fortune 500) and 49% owned by GE (GE, Fortune 500). Comcast will manage the company.
