The Nazi’s did indeed disarm the Jews. It was one of many steps they took in a their systematic butchering.

The laws that disarmed them had already been in place as far as the Weimer Republic, the Nazis just continued them to maintain the illusion of being supported by the rule of law. Ironically, such laws had been put in place to keep grounds like the SA, the “brownshits” who were the face of the Nazis in their rise to prominence, from arming themselves and overthrowing the newly created democracy.
