It is obvious Roe v Wade set the church off into the political realm that has really changed all I experienced. Another reason politics should be kept out of religion.

I also recall as a 14-year-old hearing out priest say that the Catholic SCOTUS judge who voted for Roe v Wade should be excommunicated.

That was another point when I said “f*ck this shit, I’m outta here”.
