So you’re saying Romney would reduce non-military spending in order to spend more money on the military?

What enemy is it that we need to arm ourselves against, Dark? Who is the threatening power that we need to stand armed against, and in what ways are we insufficiently armed?

I mean, aside from having tons and tons of pet projects that have gone fucking nowhere or wound up being craptastic, wasting billions and billions of dollars. And they still have amazingly terrible accounting, misplacing billions through sheer paperwork loss.

Why do you want to fund them more, instead of having them spend time making sure the money they’re spending is being spent well? That’s what I’d like for them, and for the rest of the government; not idiotic attempts to just cut wildly, but actually figuring out what it is we need, and then finding the cheapest and most efficient ways to do that.

That goes for the military, too, and I don’t understand the reflexive action of supposed fiscal conservatives to just automatically want to fund the military more.
