There’s an irony about the Alt-Right and their slogan “taking the red pill.” It’s an obvious term from the Matrix Trilogy, but it seems these Right Wing Trolls missed a hidden multicultural message from the films. In the movies, most of the heroes were from diversified backgrounds. Morpheus, Lock, Link, The Oracle are black. Mifune, Ghost, Seraph, The Keymaker are asian. Plus the women are the strong female types like Trinity, Niobe, Zee, Switch. Zion population were ethically mixed. Even one of the directors of the Matrix is transgendered ( Lilly Wachowski). All those multicultural ideas from the films are diametrically opposed to what The Alt-Right stands for, which is a straight, white male hegemony.
