Ah okay. We don’t have an election here this year so I’m going to watch my ancestral home state’s race heh as if it were my own. I think there’s a good chance you guys knock out Toomey.

Maybe, maybe not. Pennsylvania seems to run a standard where they have 1 GOP Senator, 1 Democrat Senator, and exchange the governorship every few terms. The state legislature is currently firmly GOP due to gerrymandering. But the state goes Democrat in the POTUS elections consistently since 1992.

There seems to be a GOP meme that “this year is the year” for both PA and NJ to go GOP. So they pour money and advertising into the two states, and they vote Blue anyways. (Though I guess it does help with other elections on the ballot.)
