You can never go wrong with them..But Me and my Buddies have switched our systems using High Def sound systems on a computer…
Good speakers off the shelf rock like crazy…

Spent a week on BOSE Mountain, the factory when I was in the business. They are a marketing company, not a great sound company. I recall the old AM 5 systems we sold, our cost was $350, sold for a fixed retail of $749.95 and costs Bose about $70 to make, but they spent another $50/unit in advertising.
I’ve never seen a Bose system well reviewed by a stereo magazine, check the net for speaker reviews. A few years back B & W was one of the best, but have not kept up.
