I respect the work he’s doing, I just really can’t stand to watch him on TV. He’s worse than that other one with the dirty mouth. School lunches also is one of those things where state and local government can handle it sometimes well, sometimes poorly, but as soon as it’s a federal issue, that costs big money and all the pundits smell blood in the water.

The federal lunch program funding is one thing. The feds getting involved in the food itself - that’s Carterian micromanagement. The one exception is the surplus food the government has on its hands as a result of their ridiculous system of subsidies and price controls - if they can dump that on schools below cost, and it’s healthy, maybe that gets the KELoyd stamp of approval.
