I love National Reviews daily blogs. This line is repeated almost daily: “Imagine the headlines if GW Bush would have said the same thing”.

My favorite (in a very sad way) is “profit to earnings ratio”.

For what it’s worth, he didn’t actually say “profit to earnings ratio.” He may have indeed meant that, but he actually said, “profits and earnings ratios.”

Which is, through a tiny loophole, not actually wrong. But like I said, I suspect he was trying to address P-and-E ratios and screwed it up.
